Teen Camp is the most fun summer camp in the Netherlands. Young people of different nationalities come together at our beautiful location, Castle Assumburg, to improve their English and have a great time.
With Teen Camp you will give your daughter or son a good boost with English. Of course we want to do this in a fun way. After the fun but certainly serious lessons in the morning, in the afternoon there is plenty of time for relaxation, sports, group assignments and creativity.
The arrival is on Sunday. The day to meet all other participants, to decorate your room and to become familiar with the castle or estate. You also meet the Teen Camp team and we discuss the weekly schedule. Maybe you have to get used to everything being in English. Each day, two lessons of two hours each are on the programme. During the first lesson, grammar and vocabulary are discussed. The second lesson is focused on interaction: conversation, pronunciation and presentation. All four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking are trained within this programme.
The afternoon program includes sports, creativity, fun on the beach and time to relax. In the evening it's relaxing: interactive games, the chaos game and of course the bonte afound. After the classes on Friday, participants make snacks for the High Tea.

For most participants, this is definitely beach day, usually on Tuesday. After classes in the morning, participants take the bus to the beach. At the beach, first we have a nice lunch. Then it is time for the beach activities. Depending on the weather and tide there is a choice of various activities, including blow carting, surfing, supping, archery, beach field hockey, building sand castles, playing soccer and of course a refreshing dip in the sea. All under expert guidance. After the bus has dropped everyone off safely back at the castle, dinner is ready and everyone can enjoy a delicious meal.
Interaction
Full attention is given to communication in English. The language of communication during camp is all English and care is taken to ensure that participants speak English among themselves as much as possible. All participants work on a presentation.
English Class
Four hours of grammar and vocabulary are spent each day. Specific areas of English grammar are covered in addition.
Going outside
Every afternoon it is time for action. In teams, participants will perform fun tasks, including sports. Besides exercise and fun, communicating in English is the goal. Top of the week is the beach day.
A lot of fun
The relaxed evening program gives participants time to spend together, play games, watch presentations and, of course, the bon voyage is not missing.
More and more young people and their parents are choosing two weeks of Teen Camp. In the first week everything may still be new and for some a bit exciting. By the end of the first week, we see that most participants start to feel more and more relaxed. They know the castle, know the daily schedule, have new friends, etc. The weekend program creates even closer friendships.
All together to Amsterdam for culture, lunch in the Vondelpark, shopping, surprising activities and finally a dinner in "a fancy restaurant" guarantee unforgettable experience. After spending the night in Amsterdam the next morning there is a walk through the city and still time for shopping before returning to Castle Assumburg. In the second week we offer a totally different teaching program with new challenges.
Because the participants are already used to all facets of Teen Camp, we see a stronger learning curve in the second week of Teen Camp. For the deeper development of knowledge as well as the freer use of the English language, two weeks of Teen Camp is definitely worth considering!
Tutoring consists of teachers selected and trained by Pro English. They all have different backgrounds, but share the passion for teaching and guiding young people. They are also in possession of VOG.
Our teachers are trained by and work according to the protocol of the Pro English Academy.
At Teen Camp, all teachers are trained in first aid.
All teachers have signed a "Child protection policy & privacy policy" statement.
